Still trying to find out why the B-57 bomber has a 'NOSE LOW' attitude while sitting on the ramp. The nose wheel is nearly all the way up into the wheel well.

I have asked several veterans over the years....even found one pilot...but none could determine why....

I had an occasion to work on a B-57 when it landed at a base where I was stationed. I did my work in the cockpit, but never thought to ask.

It seems like it would have been a beautiful aircraft to fly.

Please let me know if anyone finds out any info.

Looks like it gives the pilot more visibility on the ground, same idea as the Concord and Tu-144 except their noses actually moved to give pilots better visibility on the ground.
