Message Number 1Date Posted: 13 June 2007, 11:55:42 AM Here is the newest addition to USAF UAV's, well kinda. It is the MQ-9 Reaper. It has been out for a while but not a lot has been put out about it. It is essentially a Predator on steroids. Bigger, faster, and stronger (carries more missiles and a few JDAM's). Check out the Wikipedia article......

Message Number 2Date Posted: 14 June 2007, 10:21:26 AM Damn, those UAV's I hate em'. I'm not huge on having things without pilots, especially when we've spent all of this money on stealth which will allow us to be unseen by radar and therefore no one can be shot down, so how does it save lives to not have pilots behind the stick??????
Sorry, I don't mean to get off the subject, I'm just posing a question concerning the MQ-9 and all of its brethren.

Message Number 3Date Posted: 15 June 2007, 10:05:11 PM I actually never believed that pilots will be replaced, they have inherant qualities that computers don't.

Message Number 4Date Posted: 16 June 2007, 10:29:13 AM Not completely anyway, but the whole thing is it costs less or at least it will. One or Two pilots could command a hundred of a few of the UAV's they have in the works. Less training, just equipment that will even cost less.
Like you said though, people have qualities unreplacable by computers.
