Hi m8ys, I would say that Su-47 vs F-22 is only about the best pilot, And don tell me that F-22 has the stelth, If F-22 wants to fire in BVR, he nedds to switch his Rader on That is giving out his position, wlile the Su-47 dont use his radar becouse he knows that he cant see him, and only using HeatScan, whitch makes it to a cat,dog fight and the best pilot wins whit some luck whit him.

no way could the su27 beat the f22 because lockheed martin f22 raptor was built as an AIR SUPERIORITY FIGHTER and the USAF ha the best planes in the world because the usaf built the fastest plane (the X43 which goes at mach 9.93 i might add!) and it would be no surprise to anyone that the F15 has not only successfully shot a satellite out of orbit and the F15 has NEVER been shot down in combat! so the f22 is the superior aircraft compared to the su27. (and it looks better too!)

Thank you Al...I keep listening to all of these dipsh*ts talk about the su-47's 'plasma stealth' and it's all bullsh*t. I even listened to some guy tell me how it's supposed to work. It's all fu*ken bullsh*t. Listen...the only thing that the Sukhoi's MIGHT have over the F-22 is IRST, (infa-red scanner/tracker) and that's literally it!

I just want to settle this thing here and now. Im going to give you three situations that the f-22 and su-47 could get in.

DOG FIGHT
In a dog fight a Su-47 would be dubbed the winner. Yes the F-22 has great manuverability but the forward swept wings of a Su-47 are designed to make it have tight turning and operations at sub sonic speeds, speeds in which dog fighting takes place. Yes, the F-22 is equiped with side winder missiles but the Su-47 has a new one the the Russians have designed. Once the pilot locks on to a target and fires a missle, that missile will go were ever the pilot looks. So even if the F-22 gets behind the Su-47, its new missile tech will trash the F-22. Not to mention that for the longest time Russia has been all about the dog fights. When American came with our F-4's(planes that only had missiles) and they came with Migs Fishbeds (planes with guns) the Mig would win most of the time.

BVRC(Beyond Visual Range Combat)
In this situation an F-22 would win. Everyone says that when an F-22 opens it's bomb bay doors it's stealth vanishes. True, but they only open for a fraction of a second and they dont plan to use only one F-22 durng combat. What im saying is they have 2 F-22's flying at once to shot down targets. What they have is a lead F-22 that is using passive radar systems to find targets. It will never shot a missile and will never be seen on radar. Now there is a trailing F-22 thats far away out of enemey radar. The lead F-22 transmits data to the trailing one and the trailing one fires a missile. The trailing one will never be seen because it is out of visual and radar range. Not to mention that the F-22 and Apache are the only aircraft that can engage multple enemeys at once. that means once one missile is fired they can move on to the next target. Fire and Forget....

GENERAL
If the F-22 and Su-47 were in battle F-22 wins. Its tactic is to shoot you down way before you even get close. They did a real test. 1 F-22 vs 4 F-16's. Before the F-16's finished getting to crusing altittude they had been shot down. American has always been about getting the technical advantage. The USAF wants its forces to have a 1-10 ratio. For ever 10 planes theres and F-22 waiting for them. The Su-47 is also way to expensive to put into production. The Russias only have it for export not import. No they wont let America have one so dont ask. Overall here are my findings:

F-22 is a better plane
Su-47 looks way cooler.

well it depends on several things. The pilots awareness. the f/a-22s position the radar. the controllers alertness and the skill of the f/a 22 pilot. if all human error was eliminated and the f/a-22 wasn't stealth then I would say it is too close to call

Id say probably the su47 actually you yankees overestimate yourself its not complete stealth its low observable so if the radars right it will pick it up. If the russians sent the mig 31 foxhunter the f22 would be out of the sky pretty quick as of the foxhunters radar speed I say again and listen!!! Its LOW OBSERVABLE not STEALTH you idiots cant read properly

Actually, V, your wrong.........

For a few reasons, the Su-47 was never meant to be a production aircraft, and couldn't even shoot a 15 down.........31s are great and all, yeah they are big, fast and have a powerful radar. But if the E-3 Sentry, AWACS, cannot detect and F-22........then a Mig-31 sure as hell can't either.........

Along with that, the Mig-31 is NOT a maneuverable aircraft..........its big and cumbersome.........it was not meant to be be maneuverable either it is a long range, high speed interceptor to defend against the low altitude penetrates, cruise missiles, and to fill in the gaps in Russia's radar defense coverage. It was originally an upgrade to the Mig-25. And by the way, its not a Foxhunter, its a Foxhound.........

And Low Observability, means it looks like a bird, IF your radar is actually powerful enough to pick up a bird..............IT IS stealth.

Check your facts before you start ranting about people being idiots and not being able to read. It doesn't look very becoming.

Oh, and Echo up there, has a little too much confidence in an aircraft that is almost 40 years old, has never been combat tested, wasn't designed for combat, was a test aircraft, and will never be put into production. It was designed as a come back to our X-29, both the US and USSR figured out that forward swept wings don't work quite as well as we had hoped.

hay im saying that they both are the same they both look good fly good and are the best so i dont think it is esey to say but i like the su47 is one of the best fighters but im going with my second fav aircraft the f22 yes my second my first is the airbus a380 i love it
