What would happen if you installed Thrust Vectoring afterburning turbofan engines(3D) of the same dimensions but more powerful and fuel efficient as the GE J85 21A turbojets into the F-5E TigerII fighter. Wouldnt it be phenomenal.?

I would suggest the open production Russian Saturn-Lyulka Partnership.

Yeh. with a fighter like the f-5, it would be awesome. would make a great dogfighter. enough to maybe rival the su-37!

amen to that! The JAS 39 Gripen is an excelent aircraft to begin with. If you add the thrust vestoring engines, that thing would be unstopable!
