Message Number 2Date Posted: 06 August 2007, 9:29:11 PM You have to think of it in different terms than how nice it looked because I bomber can look good, but be a real piece of sh*t, take the B-58 Hustler, cool but effectivly useless.
The all time greatest bomber has to be the B-52 I mean how long has it done its job and done it well?

Message Number 3Date Posted: 13 August 2007, 8:54:02 PM I have to agree with the firstsgt, B-52, albeit the B-58 is cool it never did the job that the b-52 has done, and don't quote me on this but I do believe the b-52 has greater range, payload and obviously speed (jet vs. turbo prop). Also the b-52 will continue to serve for another 40 years, this is coming straight from ACC (Air Combat Command).

The only thing that stopped being the greatest bomber ever was socialism in 1965 the government scarpped it as prices were getting to high there are to left in the world one at the raf museum cosford and imperial war muesuem duxford and a suspisious nose at brooklands.
