Message Number 12Date Posted: 26 March 2008, 1:20:16 AM F/A-22 is technologically the best fighter aircraft in the world, it outclasses any aircraft in existence, including experimental russian hardware, it doesnt matter what people say, you cant beat the monetry advantage on the side of the states. the research and the outlaid funds cant be beaten, Raptor will be the supreme force in the skies for decades to come.

Message Number 13Date Posted: 29 March 2008, 7:37:15 PM The F-22 outclasses every fighter aircraft in the world, if not because of its maneuverability and agility, because no one can find it. Tell the Typhoon pilots good luck shooting down something you can't find.
The Typhoon was not just designed to be a fighter it was designed to have the same role as the F-22 more or less. Though it leans towards a Tornado like role.
I don't know what you can actually say that will justify saying that the F-22 is not the most technologically advanced, most deadly, and best fighter aircraft ever built. If you are going to argue though, argue somewhere where more people can contribute and tell you the truth of it.
I suggest: www.aviationforums.org.
The reason that the YF-23 did not win, was because Boeing, Lockheed, and the other companies involved in designing and building the 22, took it a step farther. The YF-23 was designed to the parameters of what the USAF needed for a new aircraft, versus the F-22 was designed exceeding those parameters by a lot. Or so I have been told by Northrop Grumman employees.
Not only that, but the whole F-20 business didn't really help Northrop Grumman out much.........the government has favored them much since then..............

Message Number 14Date Posted: 06 August 2008, 5:00:49 AM You lot wanna get your facts straight 1 the eurofighters a multi role aircraft and its the most modern and hi tech strike fighter in the world it is much more manouverable than the f22 its actually the most manouverable supersonic jet currently in service. The thing's the f22 has above the eurofighter is stealth, payload of weapons and that it can supercruise (supersonic flgiht withpout afterburners) unlike the eurofighter its funny theres only 2 aircraft that can supercruise in the world and the other 1 first flew in 1957 and was retired in 1988. But the fact is it would be a pretty close fight because the eurofighter would have trouble locking on because of the f22s radar signature its the size of a flcok of birds on the radar, but the f22 could lock on but the eurofighter could easily outmanouver the f22 and the missile fired. It would be a close battle but we'll never know whos gonna waste over 100million £ or $ worth of strike fighter's. we'll only know if either england germany italy spain or saudi arabia go to war with america. Harrys the name hows lifes the catch phrase!

Message Number 15Date Posted: 06 August 2008, 5:07:31 AM Oh almost forgot no offence yanks but we always end up with the harder roles and you always end up with teh easyer roles to do in wars what a coincedence and with our technology these days wars will be over before you join the war. Only playing with ya guys. However the eurofighter would be able to pick a raptor up on its radar cause i was talking 2 a pilot and he saw a f117 nighthawk on his radar before with his eyes its because of the typhoons feroicously powerful radar. And about the f15 argument the f15 30 years old how can it compare to cutting edge techonolgy. The raptor was king of the skys ten years ago but its starting to lose its crown. Before Americans get patriotic and start arguing it would be a close fight and the f22 wouldnt easily win nore would the eurofighter with planes like that it depends pon the pilots skill it would be close god id love a f22 eurofighter battle.
