Message Number 1Date Posted: 22 June 2005, 12:19:25 AM I just wanted to here everyones opinion on the best aircraft made in the 1940's through the 50's . The CF-105 Avro Arrow. I believe that if Canada had actually been able to afford it they would be one of the worlds top super powers right now. Considering most of the engineers that worked on it came to work for the US.

Message Number 5Date Posted: 24 June 2005, 9:05:31 PM it wasn't that the canadians couldn't afford the arrow. they were essentially talked out of it by the usaf. they were talked into buying the bomarc missile system and some other fighters--can't remember which ones. and there is no way they would have been superpower because they just don't have the economy to do so--nor do they care to be.
