i dont think so, although the US did buy moldovan MiG-29s after the breakup of the soviet union i believe

If the US did they probably wanted to evaluate them for future fighter designs to combat the MiG-29 should we go to war with Russia

There was at one time a rumor of the US having its own small MiG squad in somewhere in the US. They were bought in order to study the aircrafts in order to build better ones.

I would think the us would take a MiG fighter and evaluate it so that it could counter any possible enemies with MiG jets.

I think the US Air Force MIGHT have used the Russian MiG-29 Fulcrum as a test aircraft during the later years of the Cold War. Rumor has it that some MiG's piloted by US pilots were being flown out of an Air Force base in New Mexico.

hey the us would have never ever have got their hands on a Mig 25 no matter how much money they would poke at the russian aircraft maker the goverment would step in to stop them having an advantage over their pilots.

Yes we did we aquired a Mig-21 and a Mig-23 here are the links explaining you will have to scroll down for a short explination to how and why. It was called the Foreign Material Acquisition/Exploitation Program.
