I believe that between the 2 aircraft (f-22 and the su-37) that in close combat it would almost depend on who detects who first, also depending on what arms each is carrying, but altimately i believe it comes down to the skill of the pilot.

And you know this because you've seen the video done on the internet all by itself not to mention just as demonstration. It will never be done in modern combat, you're an idiot that doesn't know what they are talking about.

Ok, it is official this Jennery person, knows absolutely nothing.

First of all the Cobra maneuver is not even a combat maneuver, it is just for demonstration. It is very hazardous and it takes a good amount of time for the aircraft executing the cobra maneuver to get back into a forward flying position, therefore it is very vulnerable to a missile attack by the second aircraft

Second, believe me the F-22 can do the cobra maneuver. If an F-15 can do it and mind you not just the F-15 SMTD, but the normal F-15C/D can do it then the F-22 can. They have done the Cobra with an F-15 down at Edwards AFB I saw a military video of it.

i believe that ross who is futher on up is right because it does depend on the skill of the pilot no matter what arms you use the cobra manuver is just a bonus and if the pilot can exucute it correctly then he could evade a possible missle lock but if i had to take a side i think the su-37 would win because the f-22 coulden't do a cobra manuver to save its life.Copyright © The Global Aircraft Organization

You are an idiot flyboy, I doubt you even have any actual proof to back up your claims, odds are you are just someone that does not like the US military and that's your right but the facts are the facts. The cobra maneuver is achievable by most modern fihter aircraft, not just thrust vector capable aircraft. If it was done in combat it would open the aircraft to become swiss chees by way of 20 mm cannon fire. Just imagine it floating around all slow and not to mention non evasive (it's just a pretty move). Any way even if he/she (the pilot) tried to use the maneuver to evade a missle (IR or Radar) the proximity fuse would detonate the missle close enough to disable the aircraft if it didn't score a direct hit. What more do we have to say I can go on if you want.

depend on what range of combat. long range, the F-22 cos of stealth with AMRAAMs, but at short range combat, the terminator might just out manouver it

Probably the F/A-22, but that's just my opinion...
Life is 10% of what happens to you, and 90% how you react to it...
