what happen was that when the bomb doors opened the f117 lost its stealth and was immediately locked on by SAM controllers who fired and bang. thats how it happened

This is the problem with stealth aircraft as soon as they go to launch weapons or fire weapons they lose radar cover or if its raining they have no stealth capabilitys which is a problem which renders them useless as all weather fighters or bomber as there main survival technique is stealth and most stealth aircraft are built with stealth as top priority so they probably arent very manouverable (f22 excluded) so they'd get shot down in seconds if it was raining and as for the f117 that got shot down ive been told by a friend who was a ex f117 pilot that your told to unload ordance quickly so they are told to close bomb doors as soon as they have launched there ordnance.

Not true, fighters fly well above the clouds that produce rain, they can still be a fairly all weather fighter, just not nessiciarily all altitude all the time...........but who dog fights below angels 10 anyway?
