I personaly think the F-22 is because of the stealth technologys, supercruise capabilitys and that it is just a great fighter, the cost though is bad, it costs more then an Su-37 but besides that its a pretty decent aircraft.

Service Ceiling: F-22
Thrust: F-22
Max Speed at Sea Level: F-22
Max Speed at cruise altitude: Su-37
Combat Range: Su-37
MTOW: Su-37
Thrust Vectoring (massively affecting manoevrability): Su-37

Above is a few of the properties of aircraft. the name of the aircraft is that which is superior in the discipline. Although i myself am very partial towards the F-22, the data shows that the Su-37 is superior. It also costs less than the F-22

I think su-37 is better in many things.
First it got thrust vectoring control comparable to the F-22 Raptor.
Second It can fly much faster and higher than Raptor
Speed Ceiling
Su-37 2.35(1553mph) 59,055
F-22 1.8 (1180mph) 50,ooo
Third it cheaper.
Raptor's main weapon would be it's stealth technology.
I think Raptor would be perfect for stricing gound targets, but it will loose it's stealth capabilites to su-37, especially in dog fights.

I think su-37 would be a seriouse threat. It has speed, super maneuverability and can carry up to 8 tons of bombs and different kinds of missles.

I think real f-22s opponent would be mig 1.42. It has that thrust-vectoring control comparable to raptor. Stealth teghnology and better performence.

su-37 has better control than f-22 or jsf. It can do 360 degrees spin and much more with that TVC.

yes but the mig 1.42 will never enter service at this rate.
The stealth that the f22 has is radar prevention stealth which means that if you boost the power of your radar you are more likely to detect it. however with plasma stealth you get rid of radar all together, no chance at detecting you via that method.
The F22 is actually going into service where the mig 1.42 has so far only flown on rear occasions so the mig 1.42 is know where near finished.

what about su-37 flanker it has all capabilities of raptor and even more. And you can't count on any stealth technologies in the sky,f-22 can't be dettected from the ground by some radars, but what if some fighters track that f-22 with (IRST) sensor that provides target aquisation for IR guided missiles, such as the R-60 and R-73 missiles.
