Ok look, I don't know what excuses you think we are making, but saying that they thought your guys were Iraqi's is not an excuse, its an explanation. Maybe you should look at it from a different angle.........

Yes i agree with that one as there have been quite a few incidents like that (the same with our troops if im honest) And this whole topic depends on which way you look at it america probably has the best bomber and fighter force in the world but overall i wouldnt say there the best air force. However it depends upon where the country is for instance and island (like England) would have say a good navy and maritime air force but say a country thats always under attack will probably try to build a good air defence but the constant bombardment would mean they probaby dont it all depnds on which way you look at it

In my opinion, and you can think I'm basised all the want, but the USA has the best and strongest military in the world. If you add up all the facts and the different factors involved, I'd say we beat other countries hands down...........

Funny that that you forgot to mention that was the streak eagle a specially modified version which they even flew on the coldest day they could and i also got a comment from an old lightning pilot who flew a saudi lightning while over there and he said this "I once had a F.53 Lightning up to 87,300 feet over Saudi, and it was really on a knife edge" The streak eagle never did and never would have gone in service but this was completely standard ee lightning it outperformed the f15 on everything but range He also said this as he had also flown an f15

A regular Eagle can climb to 100,000 ft..............the streak eagle could do it a hell of a lot faster, but the Eagle's top altitude is 100,000ft...........

All the things your saying, are claims made by a pilot of an old aircraft, that truly, is not remarkable for anything.............so it can climb at the same rate as an F-15, maybe when it was developed that was great, but in the end, what exactly did it do that was actually worth while? I'm sorry, but an F-15 can still beat almost every aircraft in the world............

I'll tell you what it kept the ruskys from getting to hotheaded and do you know for a fact that an eagle can fly at 100,000ft have you ever spoken to multiple eagle pilots. They've spoke to me and theyve said themselfs we wouldnt take it above 55,000ft. The one pilot says its extremly shakey at 60,000ft. Where the hell did you get your info from the Boeing F15 Eagles maxium alttitude is 60,000ft NOT 100,000ft thats nthe streak eagfle not just any old eagle and they gave the streak eagle very possible advantage.

Look, my information tells me that it has an absolute altitude of 100,000ft.........and its not only the streak eagle that has flown over 60K, they also outfitted an F-15 to fly high and shoot down satellites.......

Regardless, you really have this thing about altitude and climb rate and how great the lightning is........what I'm trying to tell you is, that its not an amazing aircraft, you can like it all you want and thats fine, thats your opinion, but its not amazing..............

I get all of my info from books, not websites. I don't trust the Internet.

Then i believe you i did some looking up from an ex usaf pilot and he says the same he says 100,000ft although u have been up there he claims that the 50million jet can do it. But i get mine the same from books and people your a good thinker
