Some states are, IL is one of the more boring states, but I have gotten to fly in a C-130(Got to go up in the cockpit while flying for a short while) and on a Ch-47(Went weightless for a bit, and did some crazy combat maneuvers) through CAP so those were awesome, but we still do get the occasional ELT, unfortunately I am pretty busy with school so I haven't gotten around to a lot of ES (Emergency Services).

As for the helo, I saw that in a copy of Air Force Magazine: The Journal Air Force Association. Its pretty cool they use Russian built helos, I guess they use all kinds of foreign models, but for obvious reasons they can say which ones. They being the 6th SOS.

I know that they use the Mi-24 or 26 Hind and it is painted up like an eagle, it was pretty sweet. Are you in the ROTC in school or planning on being commissioned?

Not yet, they don't offer ROTC at my school, but I am going to apply for the Academy when it comes time, if I don't get in then I'll go through ROTC.

Are you enlisted or commissioned? What rank and grade? Which jets do you/have you worked on?

thanks, I hope so to.

Cool, must be interesting working with Ejection Systems. The USAF is thinking about mothballing the U-2 last time I heard, know anything about that?

Yes I have, they were going to go to an entire global hawk force for high altitude recon, and then some one spoke up and talked some sense into the idiots with now military experience. The global hawk is a good jet and does a good job, however it can only carry 2 sensors max at a time as of now. The u-2 can carry a lot more. They had a 2011 deadline but it was a very unrealistic decision made by beurocrats.

Good, because unless they have some super top secret recon jet that is manned, I don't think the U-2 should be retired any time soon. I personally feel that you need a balanced recon force, Sat's, UAVs, and manned jets.

What do bureaucrats know anyway, the slimy mothers should shut up and worry about our large amount of debt rather than sticking their noses in military business they know nothing about.

I presume you can't talk about the amount of sensors the U-2 can actually carry?

I actually don't know, I can tell you this that it is an all glass touch screen cockpit now though. The Dragon Lady has come a long way since it's original conception.
