im not suprised. its newer technology and it gives the pilot a better idea of whats going on. i heard that in the future pilots would be able to use glass cockpits to be able to land in any weather even when they can't see the runway. this is because the glass cockpit will produce a simulated image of your surroundings. does anyone know anything about this?! it seems really interesting and i want to know more about it.

Yes a Panavia Tornado F3 has it not sure of any other aircraft (other than typhoon) the only reason i know this is because im in the RAF i am part of No. 111 Squadron and i am soon to be transffered to the euorfighter typhoon but both these aircraft have simulated terrain equipment in the cockpits glass cockpits are very much the way forward i flew a jaguar a few years ago and it didnt have a glass cockpit. The glass cockpits make the aircraft much much easyier to operate and to keep track of systems damage etc.
They've delivered it upside down!

hi all
this may be slightly off topic but i thought it was an interesting fact:

did you know that the F-15A never had a glass cockpit? its true! it was one of the bigger problems with the F-15 early on, however it was fixed quickly.

just an interesting fact I thought id share.
